Why Does My Cpap Machine Leak Water Into My Nose?

My cpap machine works fine until I turn on my back, and all this water gushes up my nose.

Water will build up in the tubing….make sure you empty it before you use it.
Take the tubing off and place it with one opening over a sink/garbage can etc and let the water out.
If you fill the chamber with too much water this can happen too. Make sure you only fill it to the line.
Good luck!

Could you have your humidifier on to high??

I own a RemStar Plus CPAP machine with an M Series Heated Humidifier made by Respironic. The machine leaks water from the humidifier to the mask.

A Respironic representative that this can happen when the room temperature is too cold and the humidifier is set on high. The room temperature is around 66 degrees and the humidifier is set to the recommended level of 2 (range is 0-5) and water still leaks into the mask. This is very annoying – water from the mask then gets on your pillow.

In my opinion, this is a poor design and the water should not travel into the mask regardless of what the room temperature is or the setting on the humidifier.
